City First Electric provides electrical panel and subpanel upgrades for homes and businesses. Whether you are planning additional circuits, an EV charger, or a remodeling project, our team reviews the existing equipment and electrical requirements before recommending a scope of work.
Main Panel and Subpanel Upgrades
- Assessment of the existing panel, available breaker spaces, and planned electrical loads
- Main service panel replacement and capacity upgrades, subject to utility approval
- Subpanel replacement and circuit organization
- Coordination of dedicated circuits for appliances, air conditioning, or EV charging
A subpanel replacement does not automatically increase the capacity of the main service. The appropriate equipment and circuit sizes depend on the property and the planned loads.
Planning a 100-Amp to 200-Amp Panel Upgrade
Before confirming a 200-amp upgrade, our team reviews the service location, utility requirements, existing wiring, and project conditions. Panel relocation, underground service work, or other required changes can affect the scope and price. Panel-upgrade estimates include the applicable permit and inspection work described in the approved scope.
What to Send for a Panel Upgrade Estimate
Send your service address and clear photos of the panel, its labels, and the surrounding service area. Include details about any new appliances, EV charger, or remodeling plans. Please do not remove panel covers to take photos. A site assessment may be needed before final pricing.
Breaker Tripping or Lost Power?
A tripping breaker or loss of power does not automatically mean the panel needs an upgrade. Visit our electrical repair page to request troubleshooting. For related projects, see our residential electrical services and remodeling electrical services.
